Singer 96-80 Antique Commercial Sewing Machine, Good
This is a "robust" Singer model 96-80 sewing machine, mounted on a sturdy metal legged table, with overhead gooseneck lamp, foot pedal motor control, and knee clutch control. It was used by my father-in-law at his upholstery business for 40 years. It appears to be in fine shape. There is a bobbin threader and a tread spool holder. In the drawer, there are many spare bobbins, and a large box of needles.
The manual says" the 96-80 makes the lock stitch and is designed for light and medium fabrics. It has a gear-driven rotary hook,. The needle bar stroke is 1-13/64 inches."
It sews fine.
It is large and weighs quite a bit. This is for pick up only.
